Who was Marie Antoinette?


 Marie Antoinette was Queen of France who served for nearly twenty years. Marie Antoinette is also a major catalyst of the French Revolution. Marie Antoinette was born in Austria, but he was sent to France at the age of fourteen years to marry King Louis XVI.


Early life Marie Antoinette (1755-1770) 

Marie Antoinette was born in Vienna (Austria) on November 2, 1755. He was the fourth daughter of Emperor Francis one of Lorraine, and Maria Theresa of Austria, the head of the Habsburg dynasty.
Francis I died in August 1765, leaving his wife and elder son to co-rule the kingdom. To promote diplomatic relations with France, Marie Antoinette was asked to marry Louis Auguste, who was a Dauphin.
The celebration was held on May 16, 1770 at the Palace of Versailles. Fireworks were shot for the grand event, and a large crowd gathered in front of the palace, so many people that 32 of them died in a mass movement.

Marie Antoinette quickly appreciated and even admired in the courts. She was a beautiful young woman who enjoyed the party life full of 'Versailles'. However, the relationship with her husband is the subject of much sarcasm. The couple had no children and people of Paris began to suspect.
They really have to wait eight years for the first royal baby born. Marie Antoinette has a bad reputation, a lot of partying, spending large sums of money on casino games and had an affair with another man. The rumors spread throughout the country and even came to her mother, who wrote several letters to her daughter who is very concerned.

Marie Antoinette, Queen of France (1774-1789) 

On May 10, 1774 Louis XV dies. On June 11, 1775 Louis Auguste was crowned King Louis XVI of France and Marie Antoinette was called the Queen of France and Navarre in the Cathedral of Reims. Weaknesses of Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette was allowed to take part in French political power. He nominated his closest advisers to several strategic positions. In 1784, Marie Antoinette supported his brother, Joseph 2, in a dispute with the Dutch. But Louis XVI refused to support Austria and Marie Antoinette who was criticized by the French who ironically call "L'Autrichienne" ("Austria"). In 1785, the "diamond necklace of Marie Antoinette" spread throughout the country. Marie Antoinette was the victim. Jeanne De La Motte Valois pretending to be a queen and a stolen identity, he stole a large amount of money from the Cardinal de Rohan. The Queen is not directly involved in the scandal, but his image discredited. Marie Antoinette later nicknamed "Madame Deficit" by the people of France. He tried to erase a bad reputation by promoting the image of a mother's care, which obviously he is, but this is not enough to pacify the angry protesters. 

Marie Antoinette and the French Revolution (1789-1793) 

Since the beginning of the revolution, Marie Antoinette was always refused to negotiate with the revolutionaries. In October 1789, five women a bunch of Paris stormed Versailles and forced the royal family to move to the Tuileries, under the clock of the National Guard.
On 4 September 1791 the French became "Monarchie Constitutionnelle" where Louis XVI had to share power with the revolutionaries. only hope is to Marie Antoinette to get help from his brother to stop the revolution and bring her husband back to the throne.
On June 21, 1791, the royal family decided to flee from Paris to join the Austrians, but they were arrested at Varennes and brought back to Paris a week later.
France declares war against Austria on April 20, 1792, and Marie Antoinette is described as an enemy state. He got the nickname "Madame Veto" because he allegedly ordered the Louis XVI's decision to oppose any revolutionary. On June 20, 1792 crowd stormed the Tuileries.
Tensions rose and the royal family moved into the Temple and confined at a prison there in a very poor living conditions. Jacobin group called for the end of the monarchy which they acquired on 21 September 1792. The National Convention is now leading the country, and Louis XVI was executed on January 21, 1793. Marie Antoinette courageous struggle to stay alive and to save the lives of her children. But his fate became a big political stock among the various groups that come together. strong supporter of her death, like Hebert, earn some credit in the Assembly.
On October 14, 1793 his trial began and he was accused of crimes very seriously. One of the most embarrassing was the accusation of incest against her son. Marie Antoinette became very emotional because this accusation is unfair. He defended himself fiercely but his fate is decided. 1793 On the morning of October 16 this year, a guard arrived to cut her hair and tied her hands behind her back. He was forced into tumbrel and paraded through the streets of Paris for more than an hour. He died at age 37 on October 16 this year in Paris, France. He was executed by guillotine at the height of the French Revolution this year, for the crime of treason.

At first, King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette could have a child. Later, Marie Antoinette gave birth to four children, but her three children died very young diusia. Marie Antoinette spent the night life of Paris and many more with the children and their families. Although Marie Antoinette passed the age of thirty, she still looks elegant and attractive. Even when Marie Antoinette was still flirting with the men of the court and spent lots of time with Count Axel Fersen. Like Marie Antoinette, Marie Antoinette children also met with misfortune.
